AWR Design Environment (AWRDE) 32-bit with 64-bit AXIEM is an integrated RF and microwave design suite that combines circuit, system, and electromagnetic (EM) simulation in a single workflow. In this configuration, the core AWRDE application runs as a 32-bit environment for schematic, layout, and circuit/system simulation, while AXIEM—the 3D planar method-of-moments EM simulator—runs in 64-bit mode to access more memory and handle larger, more complex EM structures.

Key capabilities:

  • Schematic capture and layout for RFIC, MMIC, PCB, and module design
  • Linear and nonlinear circuit simulation (e.g., S-parameters, harmonic balance, transient)
  • AXIEM 64-bit planar EM analysis for passives, interconnects, and antenna elements
  • EM–circuit co-simulation and layout-driven extraction to close the gap between design and physical realization
  • Optimization, tuning, and yield analysis to meet performance targets across manufacturing variations
  • Data visualization and measurement tools for rapid validation and iteration
  • Import/export of common fabrication and EDA formats to support collaborative workflows

This setup is well suited for engineers who need an efficient path from concept to layout with robust EM accuracy, especially when analyzing large planar structures that benefit from 64-bit memory addressing in the AXIEM solver.

AWR Design Environment 32-bit AWRDE with 64-bit AXIEM is developed by AWR Corporation. The most popular version of this product among our users is 11.0.
